Magnus was surprisingly into the row boat! My little cousin did a great job rowing us! Forgive my censoring – I am unsure if his mother wants him this publicly on the internet 🙂

This is my little baby Starr and her Disney story!

A couple summer’s ago I let Starr out in the backyard. My mom was out back doing some yard work, so it wasn’t a big worry. After a little while I head outside myself and I look around for her– She’s over by the pond, digging in these big rocks that make up a rock garden/ring around the pond.

Frogs like to hang out there, and we didn’t want her to fall in the pond! So my mom and I went over to try and get Starr to come away, but as we came up to her she turns around.

With a little chipmunk in her mouth.

My mom screamed so loud it startled us all, and Starr accidentally drops the chipmunk into the pond. We grab the pool net and fish out the chipmunk, get it breathing again, and release it into grassy trees and stuff at the edge of our property.

But here’s where it gets cute: There wasn’t a single mark on that chipmunk. Starr killed squirrels and birds as a little puppy, so she could have definitely hurt the little guy. And another thing was, when Starr pulled the chipmunk out, she pulled him head first, implying it was peeking his head out to see her. The holes in between those rocks aren’t big enough to nest in, you could just barely squeeze a little rodent in between them. So we think the little guy was stuck and Starr pulled him out! We know she likes to play with the wildlife around (like the deer, and she has a favorite squirrel. Also has a fun time with butterfiles). My mom had seen her chasing a couple of chipmunks at that time too, so we figured out they were just playing tag! Chase me! And when we freed him, we’re not sure how healthy he was, but Starr keeps checking around that area because she misses her little friend!

Beware of Magnus. He has a +3 to cute.

There may or may not be TWO FREAKING SWORDS behind the puppy but, whatevs. Focus on the doggo.

If this is intended as a safety concern I would like to clarify that these are both made of plastic!

I think it may be intended as a warning that cuteness is not his only weapon.

I think that’s quite possible but also realized that the clarification that I don’t leave live steel where the puppy can get it might be a good idea anyway!
